You should drink more water

Recent studies have shown that dehydrated people are more likely to develop constipation than those who drink the recommended amount of water every day. So, if you are struggling with this condition, it is very important to drink more than two liters of water a day.

According to health experts, the first thing that you have to do in the morning is to drink a glass of water. Moreover, carbonated (sparkling) water can be really effective, because it can help you rehydrate and relieve constipation. It has been proven that sparkling water is more efficient than still water in this case. In addition, people who have acute diarrhea or suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) should avoid sparkling water.

That being said, try to drink more sparkling water, especially if you are constipated and dehydrated, but don’t forget that tap water is as effective as carbonated water.

You should try to add more fiber to your diet

Fiber is one of the most important nutrients that your body needs to work properly. So, if you suffer from constipation, you should consider adding more fiber to your diet. Researchers say that fiber can improve your bowel movements and help them pass through your digestive system more quickly and easier.

According to a 2016 study published in the Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics (AP&T) that looked at the effect of fiber supplementation on chronic idiopathic constipation in adults, patients with this condition can improve their state and reduce the symptoms when they consume more fiber.

In addition, some researchers say that if you eat foods that contain fiber, you will improve your stool frequency, but you can’t cure other symptoms, such as bloating, pain and gas. However, you can treat this condition, but only if you opt for non-fermentable soluble fiber, such as psyllium.
