We all know that coffee has a laxative effect, but if your bathroom trips become uncontrollable, maybe it’s time to put down your cup of coffee, especially when it’s your fifth one. According to the International Foundation for Gastrointestinal Disorders (the IFFGD), way too much coffee can lead to diarrhea.

So, if you think that your morning cup of Joe is causing you trouble, keep in mind that the IFFGD also recommends gradual withdrawal.
