11 Symptoms of Leukemia Most People Tend to Ignore

Fatigue and weakness

According to Mark James Levis, MD, Ph.D., the hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplant program leader at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center in Baltimore says that weakness and extreme fatigue are two of the most common symptoms of leukemia.

Both signs (fatigue and weakness) are often associated with anemia, the latter being often caused by a red blood cell deficiency. In both types of leukemia (acute and chronic), patients reported both mild and severe fatigue and weakness. However, fatigue and weakness get worse in time.

If you’re feeling tired and the time, maybe it’s time to talk to your doctor, especially when your tiredness is caused by apparently no reason.
