8 Things Diabetics Must Watch Out for This Summer

Those hot summer days are linked to higher glucose levels for those who suffer from diabetes, meaning you will go more often to the bathroom and you will be dehydrated. “High blood sugars increase the risk of dehydration, so it is especially important to keep well-hydrated,” says Sarah Rettinger, MD, board-certified endocrinologist at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica. Also, drinking sugary sodas will give a false impression of hydration.
