Simple Ways to Boost Your Morning Coffee

Aid your digestion with a dose of turmeric

Turmeric is a gold mine for health. Its benefits come from the compound called curcumin which is well-known as being a powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric supports liver detoxification, aids in digestion and may help treat depression.

Serve: Couple turmeric with healthy fats in a four-ingredient coconut-infused awakening coffee.

Sweeten up your cup with antidepressive cacao

When you add in your morning cup of coffee cacao powder, it gets delicious. Cacao has powerful antioxidants and is a great source of iron (raw cacao contains about 7.3 mg iron per 100 grams). Cacao is great for your heart, too and due to its cognitive benefits and antidepressive properties, cacao is good for the brain.

Serve: Stir 1 tbsp. of raw cacao into your cup of coffee for a boost in dietary fiber, antioxidants, and magnesium.
