Everything You Need to Know About Fibromyalgia

What are the symptoms of fibromyalgia?

As we said, this disorder is associated with areas of tenderness that are called trigger points or tender points. To understand better, these points are places on your body where even light pressure can cause pain.

Nowadays, doctors use other symptoms to detect this disorder – and possibly some medical tests – because these points are rarely used to diagnose this chronic disorder. The pain caused by these points can also be described as a persistent dull ache which affect many areas of your body. Visit your doctor, if you experience this pain for at least three months.

People with this disorder may also experience:

  • fatigue
  • trouble sleeping
  • sleeping for long periods of time without feeling rested
  • headaches
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • inability to focus or difficulty paying attention
  • pain or dull aching in the lower abdomen
