9. You probably need more vitamin D

As a response to sun exposure, our bodies produce vitamin D, which is crucial for several reasons, including maintaining healthy bones and teeth and protecting against a range of health conditions and diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

People who have low levels of vitamin D are at a higher risk for autoimmune diseases, though Dr. Blum notes that low D isn’t the only trigger for arthritis. Still, it could be one small piece of the puzzle. One excellent free source of vitamin D is sunshine, so go for a walk.
