This disease translates to seizures that are caused by excessive brain activity. In general, people with epilepsy take anti-seizure meds, but some of them don’t respond to this type of drug. So, what can they do, if that’s the case?

Well… going keto might be a good idea for them. Many studies have proven the effectiveness of a ketogenic diet on this disease. In particular, one study has shown that going keto can improve epilepsy patients’ seizures by 50 percent.

Another study found that children with epilepsy eased their seizures by 65 percent when they opted for a ketogenic diet. However, don’t rush to make dietary changes! Talk to your doctor first.
