Most COPD patients struggle to catch their breath even when taking a shower. According to Jeffrey D. Cirillo, Ph.D., of the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in College Station, this difficulty in breathing comes from a lack of flexibility in a COPD patient’s lungs. In other words, it restrains lung capacity.
