Approximately 5.8 million American adults are dealing with Alzheimer’s disease. This whopping number increases with each passing day, so it’s our duty to recognize the early signs of this silent disease, in order to assure a better future for our loved ones and us.
And although the disease is known to mostly affect senior adults, Alzheimer’s can find its way to younger people too. Those who are diagnosed in their 40s or 50s with Alzheimer’s are hit the hardest. No one thinks of an Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis in their 40s. But, stress and other lifestyle habits can lead to such a diagnosis in middle-aged adults.
The best thing we can do regarding this matter is to learn the early signs of Alzheimer’s—maybe with the help of our doctor, we can cope better with memory loss and other Alzheimer’s-related consequences.
