As we all know, fever is the body’s response to an infection or illness. So, cancer patients will often have a fever as a symptom of this deadly disease. It is also important to note that fever is rarely an early symptom of cancer, however, if we are referring to a blood cancer such as leukemia or lymphoma, fever is actually an early warning sign.
See your doctor immediately if you have a fever that doesn’t go away! Also, don’t assume that it might be something else if your temperature has dropped, because fever caused by cancer can come on in cycles.
