Who Will Determine Who Gets the First Vaccines?

Earlier we mentioned how certain people will be more likely than others to get the vaccine first. Fauci mentioned that health care workers, teachers and childcare givers will more likely be granted access first, but there are other demographics that will be considered as well.

Ultimately, it’s the CDC who will determine these recommendations. For example, it’s very likely that people who are at high risk for serious disease will also make it to the top of the list.

All in all, the bigger the risk a person has, the sooner they will get inoculated. Likewise, a person who is important to society will also get the first shot. The list will continue on like so until it reaches those who are less at risk, and so on.
