The best news we could hope for is the fact that most people will be vaccinated by mid-2021. That may still sound like it’s too far away, but we have to remember how long it typically takes to create, test, and then mass-produce vaccines.
Plus, the process won’t feel quite as long after the exposed and vulnerable population will be covered.
Fauci said that during the first few months of 2021, the top of the CDC’s list will be inoculated first. Again, those will likely be the people who have higher health risks, health care workers, and teachers. He also predicts that by the end of April, beginning of May, the general population will begin to get their vaccines too.
So, it looks like if you are young, have no health risks, and aren’t often exposed, you may have to wait until then, possibly even June or July.
We hoped this article answered some questions about the upcoming Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. When do you speculate you’ll get your shot, give Dr. Fauci’s thoughts on the matter?
