Exercising provides endless benefits. In fact, only a 15-minute walk a day can have a significant impact on our health. So, it’s time to put your legs to work, especially when you want to reduce your odds of getting this common bone disease.

Weight-bearing exercises, in particular, have been linked to a reduced risk of developing osteoporosis. According to Scott Kaiser, MD, a family physician, and geriatrician at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif., our bones respond to force by becoming stronger.
