According to the AARP, symptoms like coughing, fever, chest pain, chills, headache, and shortness of breath can often fool doctors into thinking it’s a case of asthma, tuberculosis, or acute respiratory distress, but it can become severe and fatal if it spreads to other parts of the body due to a weakened immune system.
