Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease where the immune system accidentally attacks its own healthy cells and can affect everything from the joints and skin to brain, lungs, and kidneys. Surprisingly, the Lupus Foundation of America found nearly half of 3,000 adults with lupus were misdiagnosed.
