Advanced symptoms

When lung cancer advances, symptoms will become more prominent. These symptoms will develop after the signs above have made themselves known:

  • Pain in the bones of the back or hips, possible broken bones
  • Swollen lymph nodes in the neck or collarbone region
  • Headache, dizziness, balance problems, seizures, weakness in the limbs, and other nervous system issues
  • Yellow eyes or skin and other signs of liver problems
  • Blood clots

If we’re talking of cancer in the upper lungs, then we’re talking about a non-small cell lung cancer called Pancoast tumors. These cancers cause a set of strange symptoms called Horner syndrome. Its symptoms include:

  • Drooping eyelid
  • One small pupil
  • Sweating on only one side of the face
