Numbness and tingling

Due to inflammation of tendons, RA patients may also experience numbness and tingling. This happens because inflammation creates pressure on their nerves. Doctors often call this type of burning feeling carpal tunnel syndrome.

In some cases, RA patients can even hear a crackling noise when they move, which indicates damaged cartilages in the joints.
