You can exercise more

Physical activity can have a big impact on every aspect of your life, while improving your mental and physical health at the same time. That being said, it’s no secret that it is also good for relieving constipation.

Recent studies have shown that people who exercise regularly are less likely to develop constipation and their symptoms will be mild. Researchers say that there’s a strong link between constipation and a sedentary lifestyle, that is why they recommend regular physical activity if you want to be healthier. However, more research is needed in this sense.

In addition, people who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and prefer moderate intensity exercise have reported that their symptoms and quality of life have significantly improved. High intensity exercise, such as jogging, may not be recommended in this case, because it can worsen their symptoms.

According to exercise physiologist Christopher Travers, MS, “different groups have slightly different recommendations. But in general, they advise 150 minutes per week, or about 30 minutes five days a week, of moderate-intensity activity. In the exercise world, we consider this anything that gets your heart rate up to 50 to 60% higher than your resting heart rate.”

“Ten minutes is the minimum amount of time you need to get the benefits of cardiovascular exercise. I often tell patients to start with 10 to 20 minutes of any activity and work your way up. If you’ve been living a sedentary life, or if you have medical conditions that limit your activity, you need to ease yourself into fitness and see how your body responds,” he added.

You should include coffee in your diet

As you already know, coffee is one of the most popular beverages out there that can be beneficial to your overall health if you drink in moderation and without other additives, such as sugar, milk, creams and so on. Including coffee in your diet not only increases your energy levels, but it is also good for your constipation problems.

People who drink coffee know that it can sometimes act as a natural laxative, because it can stimulate the muscles of your digestive system. It has been proven that coffee contains soluble fiber that acts like a prebiotic and improves your gut bacteria, which is good in preventing constipation.

However, people who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) should avoid drinking coffee, because it can make their symptoms worse. Some medical experts recommend removing coffee from your diet if you have IBS.

Yet, did you know that coffee can help you burn fat and lose a few extra pounds? Almost every commercial fat burning supplement contains caffeine. It is also a good way to increase your adrenaline levels in your blood, which can help you improve your athletic performance.

So, if you want to find out more info about coffee, here is How Much Coffee Is Too Much? Plus 10 Easiest Ways to Make Your Coffee Habit Healthier.
