Type of Cancer: Prostate Cancer
In 2011, Dr. Drew returned from the Caribbean feeling ill, with what he dismissed as a mild tropical disease, but he decided to go to the hospital at the urging of his wife. It was discovered that he had an elevated PSA, which can point to prostate problems.
Dr. Drew underwent successful surgery, and two years later spoke to People magazine, saying “I’m cancer-free. The erectile function is normal, sex drive is normal, bladder works normally. And I don’t have to worry about prostate cancer.”
