2. Sugar can maximize your risk of developing heart disease.

The white stuff is often associated with an increased risk of heart disease. Multiple studies have shown that sugar consumption can result in high triglyceride, elevated blood pressure, and trouble with inflammation, all of which are heart disease factors.

A study concluded that people who consume high amounts of added sugar have a greater risk of dying from heart disease.

Just keep in mind that a can of soda packs approximately 52 grams of sugar, and this is actually more than 10 percent of your daily recommended sugar intake. It’s best to avoid sugar as much as you can, especially when you’re already dealing with heart disease.
