We couldn’t forget about COVID-19, at least not yet. In general, coronavirus patients are contagious for eight days after they’ve contracted the virus, but a woman from Washington was so generous that she gave off infectious virus particles for 70 days!
According to the report, she showed no COVID-19 signs or symptoms during the whole period of time. However, her doctors explained why this was possible. The 71-year-old woman was also a leukemia patient. Leukemia is a type of cancer that compromises the white blood cells; therefore, it leads to a weakened immune system.

It’s in our immune system nature to fight off viruses, but if it’s already weakened, it can be tricky and difficult to do so. That’s why the woman was contagious for 70 days. She was infected in late February 2020, and in the course of 15 weeks, she had actually tested positive for COVID-19 twelve times.
After so many weeks, she was finally coronavirus-free.
