“Your body relies on these sugars, or glucose, for energy,” says Jocelyn Nadua, RPN, and Care Coordinator at C-Care Health Services. “When glucose levels are low, your brain’s ability to send neurotransmitters are affected, therefore inhibiting movement, communication, and cognition.”
