Did you know that almost one in twenty leukemia patients has a skin rash? There are two main types of skin rashes linked to leukemia. The first one is a rash caused by Sweet’s syndrome, a pretty rare skin condition that has been associated with leukemia; and the second is known as leukemia of the skin.
According to Dr. Levis, leukemia of the skin looks like the skin has a lump inside it. Unline leukemia of the skin, Sweet’s syndrome rash looks like an allergic reaction. And while skin rashes come in all sizes and shapes, the ones linked to leukemia have something in common: they will grow and spread really fast.
