11 Symptoms of Leukemia Most People Tend to Ignore

Fever or chills

Fever and chills can be caused by a wide range of health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, blood clots, bacterial infections, allergies, COVID-19, or colds. But they are also caused by acute leukemia. According to statistics, chills and fever happen in a quarter of acute leukemia cases.

Dr. Levis says that fever and chills rarely occur in patients with chronic leukemia. Those with acute leukemia could experience a fever that generally lasts up to two weeks. Plus, because leukemia weakens your immune system, leukemia patients are often sick.
