Swelling
Damaged kidneys often lead to swellings in the body, especially in the leg, hand, ankle, face, and feet areas. This happens because your body can’t remove the accumulated waste and fluids.
Fatigue
When healthy, your kidneys produce the hormone EPO (erythropoietin), which form red blood cells. And, as you know, these cells are needed for the proper supply of oxygen throughout the body. So, if the number of red blood cells is lowered, you can experience muscle damage, fatigue, severe anemia, and brain damage.
