1. COVID toes

COVID toes is the strangest coronavirus symptom which can appear on a patient’s toes and feet. Ebbing Lautenbach, MD, chief of infectious disease at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine explained that the symptom known as “COVID toes” was recently discovered by Italian healthcare professionals.

When American doctors were informed about this unusual symptom, they started noticing an increasing number of “COVID toes” cases in the U.S. According to Northwestern University, COVID toes present as purple, blue, or red lesions on the feet, toes, and sometimes fingers. Lautenbach says they are “typically painful to touch and could have a hot burning sensation.”

Doctors and health practitioners worldwide are trying to learn more about COVID-19’s newest skin manifestation. However, now it’s unclear why this odd symptom appears on coronavirus patients.
