COVID-19 and Hair Loss: How to Stimulate Hair Growth

Wondering why your once-healthy hair is falling out in isolation? Stress and uncertainty may be the culprits. This pandemic has bought only suffering to the world, and it’s not just about COVID-19 patients or those who are unemployed; the novel coronavirus has affected us all in various ways.

From kids to retirees, there’s not a single soul out there who hasn’t suffered. When we endanger ourselves to high-stress levels, such as an ongoing pandemic, our bodies respond differently. For instance, some may spot rashes on their skin, while others can experience hair loss.

Although the CDC does not add hair loss to its list of COVID-19 symptoms and signs, it appears that most survivors are losing their hair. Dr. Dendy Engelman, a dermatologist at Manhattan Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, actually said that she noticed a growth in patients with hair loss after the mid-March quarantine implemented in New York.

However, no matter if you’re a COVID-19 survivor or just a person who is trying to deal with this pandemic as well as you can, you should not ignore hair loss!
