Fish
Some of the fishes that are extremely rich in omega 3 fatty acids are sardines, mackerel, salmon and tuna. They help you in protecting tiny blood vessels that are present in the eyes and they can also prevent inflammation of the eyes. If you eat fish regularly it can significantly lower the risk of developing age-related macular degeneration.
Eggs
Eggs are a great source of zeaxanthin lutein, vitamin D, vitamin B12 and vitamin A that help you in protecting your eyes from age-related degeneration and ultraviolet rays. A research by the Natural Institutes of Health, USA, shows that “people who eat eggs every day have less risk of developing cataract”.
