5 Healthy Ways to Debloat Your Face

More water, less alcohol

Water retention is the main factor of most changes in the face. Also, excess carbs, sodium and alcohol show up on your face, because they are the biggest culprits for water retention. So, you better swap your daily glass of red wine with some oldie, but goldie H2O.

Get more sleep

“The natural hormones in our body are really impacted by poor sleep,” Chris Winter, MD, sleep specialist and author of The Sleep Solution, tells us. “We have chemicals in our bodies that keep inflammation at bay, so if you’re not getting enough sleep, those chemicals are not produced the way they should be, and it creates an inflammatory environment in your body.”

Avoid carbs, sodium and processed foods

Salty foods and carbs can bloat your face. The biggest contributors to sodium are the processed foods, so you better start eating healthier. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can’t stop your cravings, but following a balanced diet can help you to prevent long-term weight gain.
