Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect many parts of your body, including your joints, of course, skin, eyes, lungs and heart. Being a chronic disease, treatment can control symptoms, but it can still cause physical disabilities.

This type of arthritis occurs when your immune system starts to attack your own tissues (namely the synovium which is the lining membrane that surrounds your joints), causing painful swelling, bone erosion and joint deformity. Some of the most common symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis are swollen joints, stiffness (that can get worse in the morning), fatigue, fever and weight loss because of loss of appetite.

Just like any other disease, people who suffer from this type of arthritis may experience mild or severe symptoms that may appear or disappear throughout the day depending on several factors. In general, middle aged women are more likely to develop this disease than men. Rheumatoid arthritis can also be genetically inherited, or caused by excessive smoking, exposure to toxic environments and obesity.

However, if you have rheumatoid arthritis it doesn’t mean that you can’t live your life and do everything you like. So, to help you in this regard, here are some friendly activities that can make you enjoy life and be happier even though you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. Read on to find out more info!
