12 Unhealthy Habits You Have to Break Right Now for a Healthy Lifestyle

Declining to Learn New Things

Many people reject learning new things on the basis of not having enough time. But what you don’t realize is that you should learn something new for the joy of learning, not necessarily to become an expert in the field.

Constant studying also helps maintain neuroplasticity- that’s the brain’s ability to adapt. How do we know this? Thanks to a study, of course. Scientists discovered that seniors showed improvements in memory when they learned a new skill compared to the control group that played video games or watched movies.

Don’t decline opportunities. Don’t avoid challenges. try everything at least once and stick to something that makes you happy.

Drinking Soda, Diet or Regular

Let’s be honest, we all indulge in soda from time to time, right? But drinking diet or regular soda often is a bad habit you have to nip in the bud as early as possible.

Every 12-ounce serving increases your risk of mortality, according to studies. The empty calories and sugars from these drinks will add up, without any benefits, causing your health to decline. Even the so-called ‘better’ versions, the diet alternatives, aren’t any better since they contain artificial sweeteners which increase the risk of developing metabolic syndrome.

By eliminating sodas from your diet you could also lose a lot of weight. It may not be easy, but it’s worth the effort. Focus on drinking water or fresh juice instead.
