Don’t forget about door knobs and light switches
As you already know, door knobs and light switches are some of the most commonly touched surfaces in your home, right? So, they could be the perfect place for germs and viruses to develop.
“It is important to make a regular habit of disinfecting and wiping down all door knobs in the house, particularly those leading out and in through the front door of your home,” says Sekhon.
In fact, you can catch the coronavirus disease and other viruses from touching contaminated surfaces. This is why it’s very important to disinfect your light switches as well. All you have to do is to wipe them with a disinfecting cloth.
Toilet handles and bathroom sink
You touch your toilet handle and water tap every time you use the toilet – this is why they are considered some of the dirtiest items in your house. That being said, you should clean these bathroom items every single day.
“We should be wiping down the toilet flush handles and buttons often,” said Amy Vance, owner of EcoModern Concierge.
“Give your bathroom sink and counters a quick wipe down after you brush your teeth,” says professional organizer Tova Weinstock. “Keep some Clorox wipes next to your bathroom vanity for quick access.”
Those faucet handles are definite germ zones. And while you’re at it, spritz down the pump on your soap dispenser,” said minimalism coach Rose Lounsbury.
