Chapter no. 5: It takes at least two weeks for a COVID-19 vaccine to work
According to the CDC, it takes a couple of weeks for your body to make both T-lymphocytes and B-lymphocytes after getting vaccinated. Thus, an individual can get infected with the virus just after vaccination. This also means that the individual will most likely get sick because his/her immune system didn’t have enough time (at least two weeks) to produce T cells and B cells.
And if you think that the vaccine got you the virus, you’re completely wrong. There is virtually no way you can get the virus that causes COVID-19 from the vaccine, no matter what vaccine you get. None of the COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized in our country use the live virus.
