Well, it is actually an infestation of what doctors call Sarcoptes scabiei, a.k.a. human itch mite. This type of mites gets into the upper layer of the skin, where they deposit their eggs to multiply. Doctors say that, in most cases, scabies mites pass from person to person via direct contact.
