Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes fatigue, tender points and pain. Also, this condition is hard to diagnose because most of its symptoms are similar to those of other conditions. An estimated 5 million American adults — most of them women — have fibromyalgia, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
In order to ease your symptoms, you should aim for a well-rounded diet. This diet should include fresh vegetables and fruits, healthy fats, whole grains, low-fat dairy and lean protein (fish and chicken). Avoid anything processed or fried and limit the amount of sugar and salt. So, whether you are experiencing painful tender points, deep muscle pain, chronic headaches, unending back pain, or neck pain, you should know there are certain foods that make fibromyalgia symptoms worse and try to avoid them!
