Medical advances have come a long way over the past couple of decades, not to mention centuries. But despite all our significant efforts, it seems that outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics still take us by surprise. Though global health measures can lead to drastic changes when it comes to smothering such events, we’re not quite at a stage in which we can be worry-free.

The most recent Coronavirus pandemic alone has caused disastrous consequences across the globe, affecting the health of thousands of people. Along with it, the world economy has also taken a hit, leading to the financial struggle of not only those who have come in contact with COVID-19, but also those who have self-isolated or have lost their jobs.
