Cancer risk
Some studies are suggesting that prolonged sitting can increase the risk of certain types of cancer, including colon, uterine and lung cancers. The reasons for these aren’t entirely clear, but this it’s not an excuse for you to not doing anything.
Heart disease
If sitting it’s your bad habit, this can lead to cardiovascular disease. One study found that people who spent more than 23 hours per week watching television had a 64 percent greater risk of dying from cardiovascular disease than those who watched television for 11 hours. Researchers say that people who sit more have a 147 percent higher risk of suffering from a stroke or heart attack.
