Your neck is swollen
In general, people who have a swollen neck can suffer from infection or lymph node swelling. This disease is caused by various bacteria and viruses, rarely causing cancer.Â
“The front of your neck is full of lymph nodes and your thyroid gland,” said Favini. “Swelling there can be a sign of infection, lymphoma, swelling of the thyroid, or masses within the thyroid gland. Lymph node swelling is common with a cold or sore throat, but if it persists or occurs when you’re not sick, have it checked out by your doctor.”
