Just a few greys

The common knowledge of your hair turning white because someone is stressing you out is actually true. According to a 2013 study in the journal “Nature Medicine”, the hormones our bodies produce in response to stress can deplete melanocyte stem cells, the cells that are in charge of our hair color.

Hence, our hair is turning gray or white. Also, gray hair can be caused by other chemical factors. A 2015 study in the “Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology” demonstrates that smoking is linked to premature white hair in young men. Also, chemical hair dyes and hair products, even some shampoos, can be at fault for gray hair.
