Another possible warning sign of kidney disease is blood in your urine. This can be a marker of kidney stones, kidney infection, and other kidney diseases. “The early signs of kidney disease tend to be vague but looking at your urine can give you important clues,” says Dr. Agarwal.

“Any blood in your urine or change in the color that may indicate blood—as well as foamy urine (which suggests that there is protein)—means it is time to get things checked,” he says.
