  • You cough every day – If you’ve been coughing for more than eight weeks, then maybe your cough isn’t necessarily related to a bad cold. It might be chronic, and you should definitely check with a doctor. You might be suffering from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary lung disease), or other infections, like bronchiectasis.
  • Your cough is dry and persistent – If your cough is dry and persistent, it could be a symptom of coronavirus. As the CDC said, 84% of patients who were confirmed cases of Covid-19, reported having a cough. If you think you’re infected as well, stay home, and call your doctor.
  • It’s difficult to take deep breaths – If it’s difficult for you to breathe, you might be suffering from COPD. As it’s a chronic lung disease known for making it hard to breathe, the sooner you discover it, the better. It progresses gradually, so it becomes harder and harder to deal with over time.
  • You’re experiencing shortness of breath at weird times – If you took a few steps up the stairs today and you’re a little short of breath, you shouldn’t worry. That’s normal. But if you’re experiencing shortness of breath all the time, you might be suffering from an underlying cause. It isn’t necessarily a sign that’s exclusive to lung disease, there could be many other underlying conditions behind it.
  • You get a lot of respiratory infections – If you jump from one respiratory infection to another, you could be suffering from a more serious disease. Lung tumors might be a risk, as they block your airways and provoke infections, such as bronchitis, and pneumonia.
