How Might These Drugs Reduce Vaccine Efficacy?

You may have heard claims that it’s best to let your body deal with COVID-19 on it’s own, saying that your immune system would be strong enough to do so if you take sufficient care of your body. However, it’s important to note that vaccines don’t take over the body’s natural responses. Instead, they teach our immune systems to recognize a specific threat.

That way, the next time your immune system sees the threat, it’ll know how to respond accordingly.
When a person takes immunosuppressive drugs, these reduce the immune system’s ability to recognize and then fight off threats, like the coronavirus.
