New Discovery Brings Hope To COVID-19 Patients

Molnupiravir is an antiviral drug that works by slowing the replication of the virus that causes Covid-19.

Are you curious to know how this pill works? There’s been an early analysis of 775 volunteers in the late-stage clinical trial. All the people had tested positive for Covid-19 in the last five days and were split into two groups.

The first group got the drug, while the second got a placebo pill. The results were these: 14% of people who received the placebo were hospitalized or died, compared to just over 7% of those who got the real drug. The numbers speak for themselves.
