According to the American Heart Association, having type 2 diabetes increases your risk of heart attack and stroke. Part of this link is due to the fact that many people with diabetes are overweight. They often have high blood pressure or unhealthy blood cholesterol levels, too. It’s best to stay away from trans fats and eat saturated fat in moderation. Moderation, that’s the key to a healthy, long life!
