If we ever start a discussion about healthier habits, alternative sugars would be among the first topics. A while back, alternative sugars meant sugar alcohols.

But the more we expand our knowledge on healthy eating and wellness and the more we raise our interest in that, we’ll agree that there much better options. Our example is maple sugar, an excellent alternative to regular sugar, but with a low glycemic index.

This ingredient is really great for diabetics and its taste is so good and so full of flavor. Another great example is the coconut sugar, which is full in minerals, iron, zinc, calcium and potassium. It’s healthier than refined sugar, but it needs to be used with moderation.
