Things You Should Know About Psoriasis Even If You Don’t Have It

It’s not just a rash

This serious condition causes itchy, red, flaky skin that can resemble a rash, but it’s not just that. Psoriasis is a type of autoimmune disease and this means that your body can’t tell the difference between healthy cells and foreign bodies, attacking its own organs cells.

You can’t ‘catch a case’ of psoriasis

Psoriasis is not contagious even if it looks so. Don’t be scared to hug someone who has psoriasis, is nothing to be afraid of. Also, you need to know that certain genes have been linked to psoriasis, so having relatives with psoriasis does increase the risk that you’ll have it.
