1. ‘Are you on a regular pooping schedule?’

For starters, some people poop three times a week, others three times a day. No matter which one you are, rest assured, it is completely normal. Each gut has its own habits; however, as a general rule, it takes between 24 and 72 hours for the food we ate to make its way down through the digestive tract.

Your lunch will most likely get in your large intestine, namely the colon, after approximately 8 hours when you’ll also run to the bathroom.

So, there’s no need to sit on the toilet, struggling to poop; on the contrary. Struggling for that poop to come out can actually lead to hemorrhoids. If you think that something’s sketchy with your bathroom habits, it may be constipation.

And since constipation has many root causes (from certain foods to thyroid issues), it’s up to you to highlight the problem. However, it’s a good idea to drink plenty of water daily and add more veggies and fruits to your diet.
