Your desk

“It is easy to forget the high risk of your desk getting contaminated from routinely placing items — smartphone, wallet, keys, etc. — on its surface,” says Sekhon. So, even if you work from home these days or still go to the office, it is very important to disinfect your desk every day.

All you have to do is to take everything off of your desk and throw away trash or other unnecessary work papers, then wipe down all the surfaces of your desk. Even though your desk seems clean (just like your phone, door knobs, light switches, or other objects that you touch regularly), it could actually be contaminated with various germs and viruses, so try to disinfect it daily if you want to be healthy.

Your earphones

Headphones and earphones must be cleaned as often as other objects that you use frequently. In fact, no matter how clean your ears are because we all have occasional ear wax that ends up on our earphones. In addition, another reason they need to be disinfected often is that you place them on the table or in other places where they can become infected with various bacteria and viruses that are already lying there.

“Because our headphones come in direct contact with our ears and fingers, it is important to clean these regularly to prevent the further spread of germs,” says Brian Sansoni, cleaning expert and national spokesperson for ACI. Sansoni suggests using a wipe with some alcohol to disinfect them, but first, you have to follow the manufacturer’s instructions on how to clean them properly without damaging their material.
