- It’s a waste of time and energy –Â If you’re not in a good mental state, watching the news will only make it even worse. Remember how we all felt during the first lockdown? After two months everybody was avoiding watching news reports about coronavirus. It was exhausting. And imagine that these news-related shows last from 30 minutes up to an hour. Do you really want to give up your time on something so negative?
- It doesn’t put you in a good mood for sure –Â If you remember the last time you felt happy watching the news, please leave a comment with that memory. We, on the other hand, have no memory whatsoever in that matter. Of course, exceptions can be made when we’re talking about our favorite team winning a championship or a political candidate we voted for winning.
- The internet can tell you the exact same stuff – Today, the internet can provide for us all the information needed, and more. Not only you can read the same news you’d hear at the news, but you can also find better and more qualified opinions and pieces of information and from more locations than the channels available on your TV.
Just a friendly reminder, if you hear a story on the news, take the time to go online and find the same story from at least three different locations. If the information matches, it’s more likely to be true (but not always which is also the point of this article). Stay informed by staying educated.
